Bollcoin, October 22 – According to The Block, Starknet (STRK) holders voted with more than 93.5% of voting power in support of a research proposal to explore transitioning Starknet from an Ethereum Layer 2 network into an independent, quantum-resistant Layer 1 network. StarkWare plans to release a draft whitepaper in November to further study the relevant technical paths. It should be noted that this vote only supports conducting transition research and does not mean the transition plan has been formally approved. Any subsequent transition would still require further governance approval.
