Bollcoin, October 19 — With two weeks to go before the US midterm election voting day, the Republican Party faces a grim political landscape. According to a poll jointly conducted by The Washington Post, ABC News and Ipsos, US President Trump's approval rating has fallen to a new low, while Democrats are gaining support in the battle for control of Congress amid mounting inflationary pressure and growing voter discontent. Trump's approval rating now stands at 33%, with a disapproval rating of 66%; among them, 52% of respondents said they strongly disapprove of his performance. This approval rating is down 8 percentage points from the same period last year and is lower than at any point during his first term. The poll also found that, for the first time in more than a decade, Democrats have gained higher voter trust than Republicans on economic governance.
