DWF Labs: Spot Bitcoin ETF Flows Mostly Follow Price Action Rather Than Predict It

Bollcoin, October 22 — According to Cointelegraph, DWF Labs said in a research report released Thursday that daily fund flows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs are poor predictors of Bitcoin's subsequent price direction, with investors more inclined to buy after rallies and withdraw funds during declines. The study covered 694 trading days since US spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in January 2024: in the 8 instances where Bitcoin's price fell by 15%, net ETF outflows occurred 7 times; while all 9 instances of a 15% price gain saw net inflows. DWF Labs concluded that ETF fund flows are more a confirmation of market trends than a leading predictor of them.
