Bollcoin, Oct. 23 — According to Bloomberg, the Commodity Markets Council (CMC), which represents derivatives exchanges and traders including CME Group Inc., told the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) that perpetual futures pose a significant risk to market integrity, and urged the CFTC to block Kalshi's proposed crude oil perpetual futures contract. Kalshi earlier this month launched a WTI crude oil futures contract that trades five days a week with a 10-year term, and on Tuesday applied to launch a perpetual contract with no expiration date.
