Bollcoin, Oct. 23: Xiangtan County Public Security Bureau in Hunan's Xiangtan City has dismantled a fraud-related operation that used malicious links to steal cryptocurrency, arresting 3 suspects. On Sept. 4, local resident Cao reported that after clicking an unfamiliar link in a crypto QQ group, USDT worth 6,814 yuan was stolen from his account. Investigation found that since August, Zhou, Chen and Liang obtained malicious virus links via the Telegram app and specifically sought out crypto discussion groups on QQ and WeChat, posting malicious links in them to steal cryptocurrency from those who clicked. All 3 suspects have been criminally detained on suspicion of theft, and the case is under further investigation.
