Bollcoin, October 25: Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX has issued a statement on the roughly 15.99 million USDT transfer of October 21. CoinDCX said the address involved was a legacy wallet generated in January 2025 and abandoned after being compromised in a security incident in July of the same year. Because its automatic sweeping service was out of service for a period, funds that some users mistakenly deposited to the abandoned address accumulated there, ultimately resulting in a loss of 15.99 million USDT, which CoinDCX is bearing itself. CoinDCX stressed that deposits of all affected users have been credited to their accounts normally; currently active centralized wallets and user wallets were not affected; customer assets remain held in separate cold wallets. User funds are entirely safe, and trading and withdrawal services are operating as usual.
