Saylor envisions a Bitcoin-backed dollar stablecoin targeting 6%–8% annual yield

Bollcoin, October 19 — Strategy founder and Executive Chairman Michael Saylor proposed at ParaFi's Investor Day that his ideal "digital currency" should be pegged to the dollar, maintain extremely low price volatility, and offer a 6%–8% annual yield. He described this goal as a "Bitcoin-backed stablecoin," envisioning it as combining the functions of a medium of exchange, unit of account, and store of value, usable for payments, collateral, and trading. Saylor said such a product should have high liquidity, allowing investors to exit after holding for just a few days, similar to short-duration money market instruments. His approach is to use Bitcoin as the underlying capital and provide yield to holders through a digital credit structure, rather than Bitcoin itself directly generating interest.
