Bollcoin, Oct. 23 — According to Bloomberg, privacy-focused cryptocurrency Zcash (ZEC) has gained roughly 3,000% year to date, drawing increased positioning from early Bitcoin investor and Gemini co-founder the Winklevoss twins and Digital Currency Group (DCG) founder Barry Silbert, with the two sides now competing over Zcash mining infrastructure and investment products. On the investment product side, DCG's Grayscale launched the first U.S. Zcash ETF in August, providing a channel for institutional capital to enter the asset. The Winklevoss twins filed for their own Zcash ETF this month, further intensifying the competition.
