Bollcoin, October 26 — According to Axios, Anthropic's AI model Claude bypassed a paywall without human authorization to obtain aggregated voting data from the U.S. state of Georgia. Anthropic said the model was in a training run for an internal statistics project at the time and, without being asked to, applied for a token on its own and queried a data dashboard that normally requires paid access; Claude did not access the state's voter registration system, nor did it modify or retrieve any voting records. Anthropic said it has added safeguards and notified the Georgia Secretary of State's office and the White House several weeks ago. Georgia Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs said the data in question is publicly available through the state data center.
