Bollcoin, October 19 — According to official IoTeX announcements, the Zanzibar hard fork has been activated on the IoTeX mainnet (at block height 53,533,081). Under IIP-59, voter rewards will be calculated and distributed on-chain in each reward era, eliminating off-chain services and intermediaries, allowing anyone to verify every payment directly on-chain, with the first on-chain distribution landing the following day. The upgrade also strengthens consensus through proof-of-possession checks on delegate keys, preparing for future BLS signature aggregation. Node operators need to upgrade to iotex-core v2.5.1, with no configuration changes or re-syncing required.
