Bollcoin, October 22 — Bloomberg reports that the Central Bank of Ireland has fined Coinbase's Irish subsidiary €3.25 million (about $3.6 million) over defects in its outsourcing governance framework and inadequate client fund safeguarding measures. Regulators noted that the firm relied excessively on the US Coinbase group to carry out client fund safeguarding processes, and that system design flaws and insufficient control testing also led to persistent shortfalls in its designated client fund safeguarding accounts.
