Bollcoin, October 19 — According to Bloomberg, BlackRock said Wall Street's use of blockchain is shifting from merely "digitizing" stocks, bonds and money market funds toward changing how these assets move through the financial system, with a focus on letting tokenized assets serve as collateral, supporting 24/7 investor trading, and reducing redemption needs when transferring ownership. Dan Maley, its head of Asia-Pacific cash business, said BlackRock's tokenized funds are already being used as collateral in digital asset markets, but expansion into traditional finance remains constrained by bank acceptance, market infrastructure and regulatory certainty.
