Bollcoin, October 22 - According to Bloomberg, DeepSeek raised approximately 100 billion yuan (about $15 billion) in its latest funding round, one of the largest financings in China. People familiar with the matter said the Hangzhou-based company raised its funding target at least twice during negotiations with investors, first from 50 billion yuan to 80 billion yuan, and finally to the above amount. CATL and Tencent are among the largest investors in this round. The funding will be used to support DeepSeek in competing globally with U.S. AI companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI.
