Bollcoin, October 23 — US consumer confidence slipped slightly on rising prices and higher interest rates, falling to its lowest level in five months. According to a survey report released on Friday, the University of Michigan's final consumer sentiment index fell to 48.0 from 48.1 in September. Even so, the reading was still better than the preliminary figure and above economists' expectations. Consumers expect prices to rise 4.7% over the next year, up from the 4.6% predicted last month, and expect costs to grow at an annual average of 3.5% over the next five to ten years. Both figures are the highest since May.
