Bollcoin, October 26: According to Crowdfund Insider, Lyn I. Javier, Deputy Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and head of its financial supervision sector, disclosed that UK fintech company Revolut is in active discussions with the central bank with the aim of obtaining a digital bank license in the Philippines. She noted that Revolut must go through the BSP's assessment process, including meeting the requirements for setting up a foreign bank institution in the Philippines. The specific timing of approval depends on the company's progress in compliance preparation. Revolut currently holds bank licenses in the UK, Australia, Colombia and France, and has secured conditional approval to establish a bank in the United States. In addition, the company applied for a Swiss banking license in September.
