Bollcoin reported on October 19, citing IT Home, that Doubao's PR head Liu Xing issued a response to the topic "over half of China's computing power is being used to make short dramas," saying the relevant computing power data is unreliable. As far as ByteDance is concerned, only about 10% of the company's total computing power is used for training and inference of video generation models. Previously, Chinese Online disclosed in an "Investor Relations Activity Record" that 55% of domestic AI Token consumption is used for short dramas and video generation, 24% for e-commerce advertising, and only 15% for actual R&D. Among them, the Token consumption of AI short dramas and video generation has reached more than twice that of software development, becoming the largest consumption scenario in Token economics.
