Bollcoin, Oct. 26 — According to the Associated Press, Anthropic and other tech companies are consulting philosophers and religious leaders on how to shape AI models' ethical judgment. Anthropic said it has spoken with scholars, clergy, philosophers and ethicists from more than 15 religious and cross-cultural groups, on topics including personhood, moral judgment and children's use of chatbots. Meta, Google and Amazon representatives have also engaged with the Vatican. Anthropic stressed the effort is not about making Claude follow any one religion's worldview, but about understanding religious, secular and political perspectives equally deeply. Scholars interviewed warned that reducing religion to extractable moral rules may overlook disagreements among traditions and their cultural contexts, and could even amplify the influence of particular traditions.
